Hi,
I was running Ubuntu 9.04 on my laptop.I used tasksel for some work on ubuntu 9.04.Other than Open-ssh nothing was clicked. I pressed enter. Unfortunately when I rebooted I saw it had unistalled gnome-desktop-environment and all the other things.
Is there a way to get back to the same state.
I am able to get to the command prompt on run level 5 by pressing Ctrl+alt+F1
is there any way to get back the entire thing without formatting.I have a lot of important data I do not want to format it.Or I have to take backup and then re install every thing.
