I just bought a pair of earbuds for my PC and the output volume sounds too loud even if I set it to 50% on my computer. Can they damage my hearing? I listen to music most of the time I use my computer(that is most of the day:)).

P.S there is no way to moderate the volume physically using the earbud. Also, I'm using an audio extension cable because the cable given with the earphone is too short.

You could always buy a short cable with inline volume adjustment - I had to get some for my skullcandy earbuds as they were just too bloody loud.

basically, yeah.

when ever i have earbubs on, i always turn it down enough that i can hear but still able to hear small sounds around me.

when i was in high school, people had earbubs on and music up so loud you could make out the words exactly from across the room, i couldn't understand why their ears weren't bleeding... perhaps the earbubs were blocking the flow...

You should consult an audiologist .

I am going to close this thread as this is not the place to gain this type of advice.
