View Full Version : [ubuntu] Typing Break prevents typing but does not prevent mouse or seeing

In Ubuntu 9.10, "Typing Break" in System/Preferences/Keyboard/Typing Break tab worked well. :P

1. The applet's vertical bar started off with fully green and filled up gradually from the bottom with red. A few minutes before the typing break goes off, the indicator blinks red.

2. And when it was time for the typing break, the entire screen (for me it was 2 screens) got locked and a small stop octagon showed up. and you couldn't see anything you were working on, because there the "TV/video" horizontal lines appeared and "whited-out" everything. (See screenshots)

3. When the typing break is activated, you couldn't use your keyboard or use the mouse at all.

But now, in Ubuntu 10.04, we have this problems :(:
1. The fully green bar stays fully green, and you have the typing break go off without warning. (related bug report: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/indicator-applet/+bug/554303)

2. When it was time for the typing break, one screen has none of the visual blocking out. And my other screen has a partial visual blocking out.

3. Also, you couldn't type, but you could use your mouse.

Does anybody have these problems?
