free or paid ?

i've been playing dofus on/off for about 5 years now :)

has always had good linux support

they have a free to play area/city (f2p), it's funny, has good battle/craft system and easy to make friends too lol

it's not just hack and slash like others

and even lighter on resources than most, so you can do all your normal stuff while playing (even keep an eye on the UF :)

you can try it out see if you like it.

You could also try reading and understanding before posting...
Besides that, this belongs in Gaming & Leisure.

MMORPGs aren't for everyone. Its fair enough, but if your looking for assaultcube like fun try Sauerbraten. Its the sequal to Cube which is what AssaultCube is based on:

Regnum Online is so far the best mmorpg whether paid or free.

Ryzom, Dofus, and Second Life are the better ones of the bunch. Only Second Life is free though, and its an odd one because theres so much to do there but your not told what to do there ;)

except that NGD (nerfed games development) only removes content, they never add any. DDO and LOTRO are both excellent MMOs, DDO is free to play and LOTRO is going free to play in 5 days! Whoo! They both also have an excellent paid content system. You may also try planeshift, totally free to play and open source, or runescape. Try warcraft at your own peril....

Dofus made my computer crash when I closed it, and now Cairo-Dock won't hide like it used to, but now the animated hiding effect is working. WTH?! Now my dock only hides with maximized windows which means it's going to be annoying to use gimp unless I set it to automatically hide whenever.
