Hi,

I'm trying to install Ubuntu 10.04 server on a new computer.
The computer has the following setup:
Mainboard: P5Q Premium
Harddrives: 3 1 TB setup on the SATA interfaces
The harddrives are configured via BIOS as a raid 5 volume.
The raid is set via the Intel ICH10R southbridge controller that exists on the mainboard.

Yet the installer cannot detect it.
Can someone tell me how to make the nice Ubuntu 10.04 server install on this computer?
And yes: I've tried google=)

Thankful for fast help!,

It seems you found a solution but just to note that from what I've read around, software raid is said to be a better solution than the fakeraid (mobo bios raid) anyway. Especially if using a single boot, that would be the preferred option by many. The problem is when dual booting, windows can't use the raid also.

Of course, in your case we are talking about a server so the dual boot is off the menu anyway. :)
