Hi,

I'm quite new here so don't mind the newbie questions (first time with linux). Anyhow, I recently installed Google Chrome and made it default and since I didn't like it I unistalled it - the problem is that I am not able to set Firefox as the default browser. Tried searching and about.com said to use Nautilius (no idea what that is).
Can someone advice on how I would set Firefox to be default browser? Whenever I click on a link now nothing happens.... before it would open with a browser.

Also, I'm on an HP dv3510nr. Can someone advice on obtaining drivers (and from where) for the quicklaunch buttons and the remote control and the fingerprint reader?

Thanks,

Zrome

(Sorry if this is in the wrong location... couldn't find a better one).

Try this:

right click on any .htm file in your home folder.
select 'properties' at the bottom of the menu.
select 'open with' tab.
choose Firefox.

I cannot set firefox as default brower either setting it at the Firefox Preferences menu or running the command 'sudo update-alternatives –config x-www-browser'.
I also set firefox as a preferred application for Ubuntu.
I've also tried to uninstall and reinstall it again with no results.
Any ideas?
