I want to know how to customize my desktop Ubuntu theme as MacOS X, but I also want the panels to be transparent. How to do we use cairo-doc, do you have to delete the bottom panel for it?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/mac4lin/

this should have everything you need (like cursors and icon packages); go to appearance and drop the profiles in there, or you can use the emerald profiles they have.

Personally I do not like cario as there is a bug that prevents your webcam from working while cario is running. AWN (avant winder navigator works really well) and is what I feel you should use.

and yeah I normally delete the bottom panel, and add the stuff it had to my top panal.

to add programs to the awn dock, go to /usr/share/applications and drag the icons from there straight on to the dock.

let me know if you need anything more (feel free to pm me). Nothing wrong with being new, we all started somewhere. Remember: "the only stupid questions is the one you never asked, and the only stupid person is the one who is unwilling to learn".
