Why can't I do this in 10.04

Ok so I used to be able to grab a window and drag it to the right of my screen and it would shift to the next viewport with the window i was holding. Now in 10.04 that feature seems to have gone. Do i need to enable it somewhere?

I've looked through the Compiz Settings Manager and can't seem to find anything to do with it.

Try loading Compizconfig Settings Manager and navigate to Desktop Wall > Edge Flipping and apply the Edge Flip Move option.

Open ccsm and go to Desktop Wall > Edge Flipping and enable it by clicking the checkbox
