i have been using ubuntu sine 2 years now, i resently install ubuntu 10.04
i put on the mac theme and dock and activate compizfussion and also compiz manager
but when i restart my computer the effects are gone .so i go to deckstop properties and turn on effect but so it says not able to enable d effects
so i research the net and use compiz check and it saysGathering information about your system...

Distribution: Ubuntu 10.04
Desktop environment: GNOME
Graphics chip: Intel Corporation Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller (rev 07)
Driver in use: intel
Rendering method: AIGLX

Checking if it's possible to run Compiz on your system...

Checking for texture_from_pixmap... [FAIL]
Checking for non power of two support... [FAIL]
Checking for composite extension... [ OK ]
Checking for FBConfig... [FAIL]
Checking for hardware/setup problems... [SKIP]

At least one check had to be skipped:
Error: Unable to detect maximum 3D texture size

and it also tells me to turn off compiz manager so i do

but still deckstop effects are not on and it sticks to none not even normal in effects

Hi, This is one of the reasons that i don't want to upgrade to 10.04 just yet.
If i were you i would downgrade back to 9.10 and wait a few months before upgrading again.

I let the more experienced users find all these errors first so they can patch up all the holes before i begin to use it myself. :)
