I recently bought an all aluminum hybrid bike, and was looking for some tire suggestions. It's mostly used for recreational riding, and commuting (with up to 50lbs of cargo). The narrowest tire the 700C rims will hold is a 28mm. The local roads aren't the best, and I still ride in the rain.

I rode 56.12 miles on Saturday. It was a beautiful day for bike riding. :)

Forgot to include something. I was thinking about this (http://www.biketiresdirect.com/pvi3wg/vittoria_randonneur_cross_700c_tire/pp.htm) (35mm) for the back, and this (http://www.biketiresdirect.com/pvirnd/vittoria_randonneur_tire/pp.htm) (32mm black) for the front.

I hate the local roads. After only two weeks, I got punctures in both tires. It must have been some glass, because it's a slow leak and I can't locate it. I recognize the sound and feel of a tire being punctured. Some tire slime seems to have stopped the leak. Also, weather and time permitting, I've been cycling 15mi a day.

Kevlar lined tires help when it comes to glass .
