I'm a relative noob with Ubuntu, but I love it. Haven't had this much fun with an OS since the early Mac days, and the community has much of the same "We can do it!" attitude that attracted me to the Mac back then.
It occurred to me the other day that if Linux could just double its market share it would be half the size of the Mac's - no small potatoes, and would make it ever easier to get the other 30% it's overdue for IMO. :)
But I find almost no lay people have ever heard of Ubuntu, and few of my tech friends have ever tried it.
I'd like to think we can change that. A lot. Where should a humble newbie begin?
