according to http://dlvr.it/wzDf , were going to run out of ip addresses (ipv4) by september next year. I wonder if were gunna make it to ipv6, or are we going to start using shared ips with our ISPs? besides, the problem is mainly due to people like me, who have a total of 6 ip addresses (two home, 4 colocation)....

Actually, at this point in the game, I suspect companies are racking in as much as they can get purely for reserves.

And secondly, we'll never run out of IPv4 addresses. The main governing body in charge of supplying them won't let that happen. More like they will stop giving them out when a certain hard limit is reached.

If we do go to IPv6 it's going to take several years to convert...you realize it's going to knock out any OS that doesn't support IPv6 (ie: Windows 2000).
