Heya! Took me a while to work out what the problem was tbh - all that was happening was the Ubuntu loading screen came up, remained looking active for a while (with the progress bar moving), and then went black. This happens every time I try to boot from the pendrive. I even tried disabling everything on my laptop in BIOS, but nothing :(

I told it to display the full splash, and got an error like this

isl3886pci Cannot find firmware p45pci

(it was along those lines!)

What is the problem exactly? And what IS Prism54? Is it wireless drivers? I hoped that by disabling my laptop's wireless in BIOS it would start up properly, but no ._.

Erm, oh my laptop is a Dell Latitude D400. A little old I know, but I like it! hehe :)

Cheers guys, it's got me a little stumped.. is there a boot parameter I can add to disable wireless support / Prism?

Thanks,

Hoppi! :)
