I just ran synaptic to get the latest updates on my 32 bit 10.04 virtual machine. I previously modified
the /etc/default/grub file to make it not do graphical boot since I always access the machine via ssh.
While trying to install the update for grub, it noticed the config file change. I examined the differences and decided I wanted to keep my local file, said that, then the next window has one and only one checkbox that says:
[] Continue without installing grub?
It won't do anything when I click the Forward button without checking that box.
What give? I don't want it to uninstall grub, I just want it to leave my config file changes alone.
