Sometimes, I find that larger webhosts, such as dreamhost mostly oversell their server space, because of their "unlimited" bandwidth and disk space policy. Instead, the hosts that offer generous disk/bandwidth are the faster ones. That also includes the smaller hosts. I currently migrated from dreamhost to proaxxs, because my website was crawling under dreamhost, and I found that proaxxs was much, much faster, even with FTP uploads there was no lag.
