Hello,
ever since upgrading to lucid I've been having trouble with my notification area. As you can see from the 3 attached screenshots, different icons/menus in the notification area appear to take turns to mess up. Not only do they not display properly, they aren't even usable! (so e.g. when the power menu messes up I have to turn off the computer from the command line instead).
Sometimes if I restart everything will appear fine, but on the next reboot one of the icons will mess up again. A surefire way of fixing it is gconftool --recursive-unset /apps/panel, but I don't want to have my menu customisations reset every other day...
Anyone have any ideas what's wrong, and how I can fix this problem? Thanks in advance.
