hello all

i'm trying to install ubuntu netbook remix on my kohjinsha SAF100, yet the display goes black during the install. I had xubuntu on the machine before this but had no sound...
i would like to use ubuntu-
is there anyway to fix this ?

all the best

ben

(ps the display works with xubuntu--)

i tried re-installing xubuntu, 9.1

the display works yet there's no wireless, trackpad or ethernet connection, I don't really know what to do here

I guess I'll have to try another flavour, like crunchbang which from what I remember worked on this computer

if you are willing to try - have a go at installing lucid rather than 9.10.

thanks , i will.
I'm installing crunchbang for now, as it seems to work rather well out of the box, and as soon as this is done i'll try a boot from lucid live CD as well-
i'm downloading the netbook version, hope it will work
