A little something which I noticed too. After the upgrade from the previous version (I happened to install 9.x first) the battery monitor tells me suddenly that there are no batteries in my laptop although there are two of them. Under 9.x I got the display now it's broken. It's an ASUS laptop. Chipset something ICH8 or so I think [Intel Corporation 82801H (ICH8 Family)].
Any ideas why the battery is not working? I had GenToo previously on the laptop and it worked so it's a kubuntu specific problem.
