Upgrade question ?

Mayb this will be a dummy question but ... ?

First:
Looking at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UpgradeNotes it seems to me, it's only documented upgrade to Lucid from 9.10 o 8.04... but I think it will be possible upgrade from 9.04 as well, isn't it ?!? <Also "Upgrade Manager" it's showing me this opportunities>

Second:
If now I'm on 9.04 i386 32bit, Could I upgrade to 10.04 amd64 version by Alternate cd for example ?

You can upgrade in two steps, from 9.04 to 9.10, then from 9.10 to 10.04. You cannot switch architecture (32 bit to 64 bit) during an upgrade.

At the end of the day, you would be best off to back up your documents, then install 10.04 64 bit from scratch, in my opinion.
