I just installed the new Lucid lynx and encountered some changes that were not expected. The icons that allow closing, minimization, and screen size are now on the left side of the screen and I have not found the place to move them back. This is in the Firefox browser.
I also had a bout with screen going blank and not knowing why and discovered the change in the screen saver behavior that required the lock screen be disabled to stop it from going blank on non-use. If this is a change in basic requirements the blank screen should have some sort of password prompt to warn user of lockout. These changes seem a little arbitrary to the more casual user (like me) and probably are covered in the release notes but I am sure that lots of users don't read all of the release notes?

The preferred way of changing the button location can be found in this sticky post (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1469475). I don't feel it was an arbitrary decision, Mark Shuttleworth explains some of the reasoning in his blog post here (http://www.markshuttleworth.com/archives/333).

With regard to the blank screensaver, I wouldn't call that a change. Locking the screen is the default screensaver behaviour for many operating systems, and it can be disabled in System -> Preferences -> Screensaver.

Sorry, no offense meant, perhaps the installer should have recognized the settings to allow the setup to function as on the original. The information provided has corrected the problem.
