What changes in KDE and Kubuntu would make you use it?

None. I chose to use GNOME and am comfortable with my choice.

Upstream stuff really. I never have seen Kubuntu as flawed like it seems to be branded as. It is quite a good KDE distro. This thread is very similar to the other one though, really both ideas are the same. I can see you are trying to get a perspective on it though.
