View Full Version : Anyone was able to install Mac OS in VirtualBox beta in a Ubuntu host?

Hi,

I am wondering whether anyone has been able to install and run Mac OS in virtuabox installed in a Ubuntu host?

Can't say I have, although I did install OS X 10.4.5 x86 (I think it was that version?) on VMware on a windows host some time back. I couldn't install the VM tools so I couldn't get my resolution above 800x600

my friend has done it on windows under vmware , i have tried on linux with virtualbox and couldnt get it booting properly

Whoever has, better be doing it on Mac Hardware, otherwise it goes against Apple's EULA and discussion would probably get this thread closed.

EULA says apple labeled computer not mac hardware... So you should have said this.

Now that they switched to Intel Processors, any computer can have Mac. It's called a Hackintosh. :)

Nobody but Apple can put Apple label on your computer. If you put it yourself, you are are infringing their trademark. So it is still illegal.
