When running Windows, I would use this (http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI/intro.aspx) site to test if I could run a game or not. As far as I know, there is no alternative to this for Linux/Ubuntu. I don't really know how a discussion could sprout from this, but go for it.

That's pretty much the closest you can get. Linux seems to have fairly good package management and it's easy to install programs from a DEB. So, pretty much, if it has a DEB, or it's in the Software Center, you can run it.

O,O But perhaps it also refers to websites, in which case it would be interesting to see what websites people can't use in Linux, since I've never heard of any.

You have to install something for the site to work, which it only works on Windows. I know about the WINE site, but the website I showed you isn't about the OS but about if your hardware can handle the game. I'm sure you already knew that but just in case...
