Hi all,

I am using a widescreen monitor and prefer placing the panel on the left size. However, when there are more than 8 windows open at the same time, the window icons seemingly randomly shrink in size and form two columns. Selecting the windows on the panel takes several clicks and during each click the panel switches between the one column and two column states.

The problem has been previously reported here in August 2009. Has it been fixed since then?

Hi kerry_s,

Here are the two states I've mentioned before.

for that kind of position you should try dockbarx:
http://gnome-look.org/content/show.php/DockbarX?content=101604

just add the ppa to your sources list:
ppa:dockbar-main/ppa

Thanks for the suggestion. I will try it out.
