Forgive if I failed to find this discussed elsewhere.

Once Lucid is installed, does the distro include any optional/unnecesssary stuff that can be whacked to conserve disk space? I'm running a nearly default installation with no added applications (yet) and wondered if it is possible to reduce the 2+GB install a bit. THis helps if you are running the OS off flash.

Thanks-
tedrow

Where to start... one man's unnecessary option is another man's must-have. But the answer is yes, there's a huge amount of stuff you can remove if you don't want it.

I appreciate you have already installed your system, but in case you were unaware, it's sometimes easier to start small and work your way up, instead of the other way round.
