Buggy compiz - visual echo on cube rotate - pic enclosed

Here's a strange compiz effect - odd visual echo when you rotate the cube. I kept my /home partition from the Lucid beta testing and compiz seems to have problems with it - looks like I will have to do a complete format and reinstall to solve this. I already purged and reinstalled compiz and anything I could find associated with it.
Anyone else suffering from a buggy compiz?

Edit- the strange thing is - this only occurs 1 out of 10 boots???

Ahh thanks for putting it in the correct place! Further to this anyone got any opinions on a separate home partition causing the above problems.
Does keeping it when say upgrading from Karmic or Jaunty to Lucid cause problems with the hidden settings in /home.
Should you only keep the /home partition files when reinstalling the same release?

had something like that happen to me and reinstalling video driver fixed it...

I'm on Radeon - will try purging and reinstalling.
