Hi all,

I'm a new user in Linux community (http://google-yahoo-user.blogspot.com), I need an alternative for winamp which can read all extensions mp3 and mp4 and rm and so on

If the inbuilt totem media player doesnt do for you try mplayer or vlc - both available via the software center

You might have a look a QMMP. Should recognize the bulk of the audio formats assuming the codecs are installed. The features page for it claims it can use Winamp 2.x skins.

There is an extra QMMP package that includes the Project M visualizations.

If you want something more feature-ful, try Banshee and Rhythmbox.
