I have just installed Ubuntu 9.10 in which Mozilla Firefox 3.5 is installed already. I want to upgrade Firefox to 3.6. Please help me with this.

I'm sure there's now an easier way, but this is how I did it:

Why not start with the latest version of Ubuntu (10.04) that contains Firefox 3.6?

If you really want to stick with 9.10 for some reason I'm sure you could use a PPA or install from source but I'd strongly suggest just upgrading to 10.04 and letting the package manager handle everything!

Nothing wrong with Firefox 3.5 ... it is (and always will be) the stable and supported browser for Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic Koala ... however if you want to have the latest version, one easy way is the Ubuntuzilla project (http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/ubuntuzilla/index.php?title=Main_Page).
