In a sudden U-turn of sorts, chris pirillo is suddenly showing his support for open source softwares. i saw his video on youtube the other day and it was kinda strange to hear him speak so passionately about open source.

u might wanna take a look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4SVCPwDa1aM&feature=channel

he was never against FOSS

at first he was a bit pissed at linux, because it messed up and had to hack in to fix stuff

then he got around that and didnt attack it, but didnt recommend it too much either

he knows at least half of his audience are linux geeks

i think is a good thing for him, he could get a bigger audience.

he's alright, he just always said the truth , he never been a fanboy of either mac, windows or linux. But is good to know he's giving Foss some extra luv.

in most areas FOSS is the future, people will eventually embrace it, even Jobs is supportive of "some" open standards.

the least supportive is MS, as they always find an excuse to monopolize the "standards" or go against it instead of cooperate with it.
