Hi,
I'm a new Ubuntu user. I'm going to download the installer program, and I found two version: for desktop and for server. I think It's according fo the type of use I will do.
I'll learn to develop application using ubuntu/apache/php/mysql, but It will not a production server. It will be for my desktop develop machine.

Then, my question is: must I install the server or desktop version?
I mean, If I install the desktop version, I'll have something less than server version?

Thanks in advance !

install the "alternate" i386, then on next reboot you will install the "pae" kernel into synaptic, you will had the server advantages with less troubles with apps.
