It took me a while to realise but when i upgraded from karmic to lucid all was well, except now I can't change window decoration from what I was using prior to the upgrade. I can pick any decoration I want and the old one remains. Even switching from GTK to Emerald and back has no effect. Is there are simple way to fix this without a reinstall?
