I'm installing 10.04 on a friend's laptop. We are installing Lucid side by side with a windows install. As far as I can tell, it has successfully resized the windows partition and formatted the extended partition for Ubuntu. When it goes to copy the installation files over to the hard disk, I get an i/o error.
I'm currently recreated the bootable USB in case it was corrupted. Any ideas?
