I've decided to swap my old desktop xp to Ubuntu.
All seemed to go well, but when the partitioning starts, the whole thing just stays at 0%

Does this seem familiar to any of you?
if so (or if you just know the answer) please let me know what to do!

Thanks in advance

ps: I did mdsum the disc

The % does not start until the OS is started to be loaded to your disk.

So does this mean the partitioner isn't able to write to my harddrive?
