I am a new convert to Ubuntu and highly rate it. I have a couple of problems that I need help with as I'm not a full guru yet! I have downloaded Kompozer 0.8 to use and it has turned up in the Download folder. It isnt installed and I am having a blank moment trying to make it so. I'm expecting to see it turn up in the "installed software" list under the applications heading but it isnt there yet. When there I would expect it to be sub listed somewhere in applications so I could use it. Having got Kino to almost totally work I'm sure this package isnt that big a problem. Where am I going wrong??? thanks Alan

Welcome to the forums Alan! Whenever possible, you should install applications through the Ubuntu Software Center, rather than downloading stuff from the internet. Or if you prefer to the the terminal, you can simply:
sudo apt-get install kompozer

Just Click Here (apt:/kompozer)

Or: System>Administration>Synaptic
It's in the repositories.
