Apple reps apparently contacted Ellen DeGeneres this week, after the talk show host ran a spot poking fun at the Apple iPhone. Maybe it's time for the folks over at Apple HQ to take themselves a little less seriously...

How many people does Apple think will actually have a slightly-negative view on Apple from this? Laughable.

They are starting to sound whinier and whinier between things like this, lawsuits, etc. Not to be underestimated, though, since they have gotten pretty good with legal actions.

Frankly, they're giving themselves a worse reputation with every one of these idiotic little stunts they pull; I've used their products on and off over the years, but this sort of zealous douchebaggery, combined with Apple's neglect of the Mac platform for its tightly controlled iPhone OS has gotten me looking someplace else for my next notebook.
