Like Vilius (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=193881) I didn't like metacity's edge resistance, so I changed to openbox, as per https://help.ubuntu.com/community/ReplaceMetacityWithOpenbox.

After logging out and trying to log back in, I discovered 3 new entries to the sessions menu: GNOME/Openbox, KDE/Openbox, and Openbox Session. So far, so good. However, if I choose either GNOME/Openbox or KDE/Openbox, it loops back to the login screen.

If I choose generic Gnome, it seems to do what I'd expect GNOME/Openbox to do, i.e., it starts a Gnome session with Openbox as the windows manager.

Maybe I should be happy since that's what I wanted to do, but these loopy entries are bugging me. Does anyone know what's going on and how I could clean it up?
