Hi, I have Lucid (10.04) installed on two computers here. Both run AMD chipsets. One is a 64-bit machine of recent manufacture. (I installed the 64-bit version of Lucid.) The other is a 32-bit machine that's a few years old and runs a Sempron chip. Both machines were updated from Karmic.
The odd thing is that the slower machine gets Update Manager updates well ahead of the faster one. I have checked the update settings and the servers and they are the same.
The 32-bit machine got a new kernel today, and 36 updates in all today. The 64-bit one shows no sign of any new kernel in the update manager, and showed 17 updates today.
Can anybody explain it? Is the kernel not yet released for 64-bit platforms?
