I am very new to ubuntu and am just trying to set it up. I have set it up before with out a problem (a day before my laptop fried ) using the graphic interface install.
I am trying to dual-boot with windows 7 and I already have windows set up.
I have read some tutorials and it looks like all I have to do is have the disc in the drive when I restart the computer and I can do every thing within the installer.
Every thing goes well until I get to the partitioning part, step 5 I believe, then it shows no partitions and all the buttons are grayed out. If I try to push the "next" button it will open a message saying something like...
"no root file system is defined please correct this from the partitioning menu"
It sound easy to fix I just don't know where this epic partitioning menu is.
any help would be appreciated, I would really like to use ubuntu. ;)
