Login screen missing option to choose session type

I used to have the option to choose my session type from the login screen. Now, in kaarmic, there is no such option box. I can change accessibility and choose to shut down, but I can't choose gdm, kde, or x sessions like I used to.

What package do I have to install to make this happen?

Did you try clicking on your user name so the password box screen comes up? That's usually where it is.

I had tried that, but your post started me thinking...I did upgrade to Lucid recently. I reinstalled kubuntu et voila! all is good.
