The template your working on looks interesting, but the Orange on Blue seems a bit.... I dunno', it looks alright, but it could look a bit less distracting, perhaps. Altogether, not a bad layout! I like zooming links up top.

I think it should be less flashy. I mean, it's nice and all, but a bit distracting. But there's a flash applet on the front page, as well as a non-free chat applet. Furthermore, the page itself is not made by you. Not to be mean or anything....

However, it definitely looks like it has potential. Try using ogg video and a webpage all your own to convey the ubuntu message.
