I have tried to do a fresh install of Ubuntu 10.04 in a Dell Inspiron 510m. After the initial screen with the UBUNTU word and the intermitent dots the installation simply stops. Black screen, CD stops reading, simply everything stops. I have tried with a Live-CD (2 different copies) and with a USB flash installation and always get the same result. Also tried with LUBUNTU 10.04 and still the same. The laptop already has Karmic installed, so I tried a simple upgrade. Everything seems to go OK, but it does not boot, so a have done a fresh reinstall of Karmic without any problem. Any suggestion to have 10.04 working?
