At first I couldn't even install the thing (same thing as in this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqXsKKFgCwg), but then I ticked some things (acpi = off, noapic, nolapic) and it worked, but now when I try to boot the system, it goes black screen on me again. It's a dual boot with winxp. I managed to get it running one time with radeon.modeset=0 or something, but I don't want to input that stuff every time I start my laptop.
The other thing - when I got in, I couldn't connect to my wireless network. Last time I had ubuntu (9.04 I think), it recognized my network immediately, but now I can't even find that thing that displays wireless connections in the area.
So, what should I do with the black screen problem, and then the wireless thingie? I'm a newb at this, everything went fine with 9.04, but now I have these problems, please help D:
