Upgrade to 10.04 hangs when finding existing kernels

The title's not especially clear, so I'll post a screenshot of what's happening. The upgrade keeps finding instances of the same kernel; the list in the terminal is constantly scrolling down, finding 'new' instances.

Any suggestions? It's been doing this for about half an hour now. BTW, upgrading from 64bit 9.10 to 64bit 10.04.

Fixed it, well sort of. Switched it off, booted to windows and deleted the Linux partition. Installed again using wubi.
