lucid lynx and compiz effects problem

after upgrading from 9.10 to 10.04, my compiz effects no longer work properly.....they work but, the windows, when dragged, are white and all effects that worked prior to the upgrade are now shaded over with a white box. When i do the cube rotate, all the desktops are white. Any Suggestion?

ps. i have my proprietary ATI drivers installed

I'm having a very similar problem, cube works but none of the effects.

after a bit of playing around with some settings, i found the solution!

in CCSM, after disabling the bicubic filter, the problem vanished....

but i have another problem that i'll save for another thread.........):P
