I have a Laptop and was running Ubuntu 9.10 with an encrypted root partition (done using the installer no fancy stuff).
On boot I'd see the grub message then a prompt to enter my passphrase.
After upgrading to 10.04 I no longer see the prompt and the bootup process waits for me to enter it. I do see the message (such as) dm_crypt setup successfully, after entering it and the first grey dot goes red and boot up proceeds.
I was wondering if this was normal upgrade behaviour or if I've done something wrong that hides the prompt.
Thanks,
._.
