I downloaded the iso for Ubuntu 10.04 desktop and checked the md5sum and it agreed with what was posted online. I was able to install it and do upgrades. I powered down and was able to sign in but could only get the background. I tried to use the cd to either re-install or use the tryout version of Ubuntu but could only get a black screen. I am not sure what to do now.
