I have a WinBook clip-on web cam for my laptop. It works great for video chats with my family in gmail when running under Windows.
When I boot into Ubuntu, the LED blinks on, indicating that the device has powered up, but gmail/Google Chat does not seem to recognize it and will not connect.
Is this a Linux issue with hardware, or a Google issue in not supporting non-Windows chat?
thanks
