I performed an upgrade from 9.10 to 10.04 on an edubuntu machine. It performed normally until about 98% of the way through, then the machine locked up hard. The only way out was to reboot the machine.
Since that reboot, the machine is booting as 10.04, and seems to operate fine, but the boot process is done in text mode and seems pretty slow. Update manager always says there is nothing to upgrade so it seems like the machine thinks it's really done upgrading.
Is there a way to FORCE a "partial upgrade" or something that could make the machine pick up whatever was left to do in that last two percent?
