So, I got the Ubuntu Countdown Timer on my blog to help spread the message. But this past few days, I noticed the banner is missing.

I checked the source at: http://www.ubuntu.com/getubuntu/countdown

The countdown is indeed missing from Option 1 to 3, while the "Simple Image" option is outdated.

Considering it was to countdown to the release of 10.04 which was released this past Thursday, there is no use for one anymore.

The Ubuntu Countdown Timer is not specific to 10.04. I have been using the same code in my website for a couple of releases.

EDIT:
Just checked the site again, the timer is now back to normal.

Ok, they now have a new countdown for 10.10
http://www.ubuntu.com/community/countdown

But someone need to stop sleeping on the job, because the countdown is still showing 25 days left, when it's should be 20 days.

Why not? I didn't see anything that said you weren't allowed...

Ok, so it seemed there is caching somewhere from Ubuntu.com to my blog's host and my ISP. How do you force the cache to update properly? I would assume it has something to do with the file date? I checked the date of the image file from my side, it's 14 Sept.

Could you do the same from your side to see if they are updated properly? Thanks.

Yeah, I filed the bug report a couple days ago. The person who put it together forgot about the crazy, hard to remember (and somewhat cool) intricacies of caching :)
