Upgraded from 9.04 to 9.10, touchpad on my laptop stopped working, but i had my USB mouse so I upgraded to 10.4. After the reboot, both the USBMouse and touchpad no longer work, rendering my Ubuntu Installation a useless. Luckly I have OpenSuse installed on this laptop as well.

I have a Gateway MP6954

I just scraped it and did a clean install. I should have known better than to try and *upgrade* a Linux system
